Air Fights 1: Lockheed T-33 vs Super Skymaster On June, 1979, Cessna FTB.337 s/n N2412S, piloted by the Sandinista pilot Emilio Miranga Mongalo, finished a delivery of weapons and supplies to the Nicaraguan Insurgency near Managua, and returning to Costa Rica, when T-33B 306/309 (info varies about the s/n of the T-33B) of the Fuerza Aerea de Nicaragua, attacked Mongalo's Cessna with its machine guns. Unable to escape from the damaged Cessna, Mongalo belly landed his aircraft on an open field, and escaped to Costa Rica on foot.
