When it comes to charging, the S100 packs a punch by providing an adjustable charge rate of up to 10A with 100W of power for faster charging. As a multi-chemistry charger, it supports balance charging for 4S–18S NiMH cells and 2S–6S Lithium batteries, including LiPo, Li-Ion, LiFe, and LiHV.
If you are planning to store your batteries for a period of time, it is best practice to store them at an optimal charge level. This can be easily done by selecting the ""Storage"" function within the menu. The iMars S100 will then charge or discharge the battery as needed to ensure it remains in peak condition for future use.
The charger is also capable of discharging batteries of various chemistry types, with an adjustable discharge rate of up to 0.4A. Additionally, the S100 includes a Digital Power mode, allowing it to function as an adjustable power supply for devices such as soldering irons or tyre warmers.
When a Gens Ace G-Tech battery is connected, the charger automatically identifies the battery type via the G-Tech Smart balance connector. It detects the number of cells and applies the manufacturer-recommended charging current, ensuring safe and efficient charging.
The iMars S100 is also compatible with non G-Tech batteries. Standard balance leads can be connected, though manual selection of battery type and working mode is required. The charger can intelligently detect the cell count and apply an appropriate charge rate based on the selected battery type.
