Avia Ba.422 LIMITED resin fuselage with injection moulded wings etc The Avia Ba.422 aerobatic special was modified according to Novik's comments for the aerobatic competition held in Saint-Germain-en-Laye near Paris.It was built at the beginning of 1938 in two pieces 422.1 OK-AVB which was a backup and Novik's OK-AVC 422.2, powered by Avia Rk-17 engine with 350 hp. 1. Avia Ba.422.1, OK-AVB, Oldrich Kosar, Beograd, 1938 The upper and lower wings have been modified to improve the view when flying on the back. The competition in France in April 1938 was a great battle for Lt. Novak and the German aerobat von Hagenburg. Novak scored the most p oints, but by a controversial decision of the French judge was penalized for exceeding the time limit. After that he still completed a successful tour of France. The 422.1 OK-AVB was demonstrated by pilot Oldrich Koshar in Yugoslavia in the summer of 1938.Model with etched and polyurethane parts.
