The HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle), better known as the Humvee, is an iconic military off-road vehicle that has become a symbol of mobility, reliability, and durability. We developed four versions of MT/R wheel sets with universal mounting — featuring either 12-bolt or 24-bolt rims, in two configurations: ordinary shape or Weighted under vehicle weight.
The set includes a set of adapters for Academy brand kits, which can also be used to mount the wheels on models from other brands.
In developing these sets, we studied numerous photos, technical documentation, and original tire samples to recreate the authentic tread pattern, sidewall shape, rim design, and tire sag. The result is a highly realistic set that captures both the look of a brand-new vehicle and one with visible field wear.
3D printing allows for a level of detail impossible to achieve with standard rubber tires included in kits. Once installed, our wheels give your model a sense of true mass, load, and scale accuracy.
