Ventura VA3293 RNZAF Mustang NZ2428 Small Checkers 1:32

RNZAF Mustang, No.1 Auckland Sqn, NZ2428, original "small checker boards". NZ2428 was taken on charge by No.1 (Auckland) Squadron, Territorial Air Force, on 29 July 1952 and served with that Squadron until it was returned to storage, at Woodbourne, on 12 October 1955. The aircraft was sold by the Government Stores Board ,Tender Number 5926, to ANSA Co, Nelson for GBP 70 (about NZ$140) in May 1958 and broken up as scrap 1961.
